We at Eger Soy Candle Company are a small, family owned company, started in honor of our father, Carlos R. Eger. Each and every one of our candles is hand poured by us and we are sticklers for quality. We test all our candle scents and we never sell any that we do not approve of ourselves. That is why we know that you will love our soy candles!

Who was Carlos R. Eger?

Well, besides having been a wonderful, caring father of five, he was also a person with an impeccable business ethic. He taught all his children that no matter what anyone else thinks, honor and responsibility are worth more than any amount of money. From him, we learned that no business can survive without building a solid foundation of satisfied, loyal customers. Another lesson he passed on to us is that nature and the environment are priceless and that it is our responsibility to protect it. That is why we make our candles out of all natural, healthy soy wax rather than the petroleum derived paraffin wax.

Why Soy Candles?

Soy wax candles have many benefits over the more common paraffin wax candles. For one, soy wax burns cleaner, producing very little smoke which prevents black soot from accumulating on walls and other undesirable places. Paraffin wax, on the other hand, contains additional chemicals that produce thicker smoke and lead to the dreaded black soot, not to mention the headaches many people get from breathing in these chemicals.

Another reason soy wax is preferred over any other wax is the fact that soybeans are grown right here in the United States. With all the political issues between nations these days, it is a comforting thought that we can rely on our own country to provide this resource. At the same time we are happy to be supporting our American Soy Farmers.

Although there are many more benefits of soy wax, the one our candle customers are most interested in is how the scent of our candles compares to that of the paraffin candles. Well, there is some good news there. Soy wax candles give off a cleaner scent that is stronger and longer lasting than that of candles made from paraffin wax. Our particular candles are “super scented” which means that you can fill a room with your favorite, pleasant scent, with a smaller candle in a shorter amount of time.
